Man I wanna post something here. Nothing to post though, hectic week at the workplace. This weekend I need to clamp down and seriously do some (web) promoting for Chain Reaction on some phase 1 shit, phase 2 is ordering or having someone press up some physical albums (pictured a couple blogs below). Also getting everything all ituned up is on the plate. *taps head* what else? i know im missing something.

Happy Juneteenth

For those that don't know, my wife is "also" a musician/persussionist (i say also because I'm not sure how much of a musician I really am but thats another story). Thats actually how we hooked up, trying to link on some music and as the story goes oddly enough we never made a damn thing together lol, well we did but just not the kind of music we were expecting (insert "awwww" from the studio audience).

But ANYWAY! Kini (or Toni to most) has been toiling away on this project for a grip now, like literally since we got together. The delay was basically the result of life pretty much just getting in the way in general, a lack of resources and figuring out what direction to go musically. Well its finally done and I think she's heading down the right path. She probably explains in more detail on the bandcamp page.

What does it all mean, what's it all for? (c) black thought

A rainy day in GA today. We sat out on the balcony and did our regular things, work on music, listen to music and read. That book in the pic is called "The Gift" and I got if for a gift, how fitting. Hopefully it can give me some perspective into what I am doing as an artist. With all this free music floating around (intended or otherwise) its kinda hard to get a grip on why I or anybody is doing this. Yeah, I love it yadda yadda but since I'm putting this music out into the atmosphere I at least would like to have a grip on why I'm doing this other than I just love to make music. So far its starting kinda slow but it seems to be picking up. I'll report back on any kind of creative epiphany.

Hell yeah, I can see it now. Finally got the final version of Chain Reaction (which is kinda like the shit btw) and its basically ready for the feeding frenzy (hopefully) on June 8th, YES!. It'll be available for Free download on bandcamp.com (good lookin out donwill) and whatever blog you can find the link at. If you're reading this, the link will be posted here also. The 2nd mix for Middle Classic magically appeared in my inbox today too and judging from the 1st version its gonna be the shit also, I been playing it all morning as a matter of fact. Now for the fun part, promoting :)
